ABOUT ME

I am a PhD candidate studying ‘Smart City Development in Developing Countries’ in the Planning, Governance, and Globalization program at Virginia Tech. As a part of my PhD, I am focusing on several aspects of smart city development in India, such as smart city trends, diffusion of smart initiatives, risks in smart project implementation, and organizational challenges in the implementation process. I am also working part-time as a Graduate Assistant for the Office of Economic Development, Virginia Tech, supporting data analysis, community planning such as downtown revitalization, and report and proposal writing. I completed my Masters in Civil Engineering (in Geo-informatics) from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur in 2014.

I believe in the saying by philanthropist Nelson Mandela

"It always seems impossible until it's done.”
